The Omega Speedmaster is undeniably one of the most recognizable and historically significant chronograph designs in horological history. Originally introduced in 1957 for motorsports and racing, it achieved legendary status as the ‘Moonwatch’ following its selection by NASA and the historic Apollo XI mission in 1969.

To cater to enthusiasts seeking the iconic Moonwatch visual aesthetic in a more compact and convenient format, Omega launched the Speedmaster Reduced (Ref. 3510.50) in 1988. Measuring 39mm in diameter, the Reduced features classic Speedmaster hallmarks—such as the black tachymeter bezel, twisted lyre lugs, and high-contrast tri-compax dial—while integrating the modern convenience of an automatic winding movement.

This specific example dates to 2002 and is an authentic Japanese market delivery. It features the factory Super-LumiNova dial and handset, ensuring clean, lasting luminescence and crisp contrast. Housed inside is the automatic Omega Caliber 3220, which has been thoroughly inspected on the timegrapher and shows outstanding mechanical health, running at a precise ±3 seconds per day with a strong amplitude of 260°.

The watch comes on its original, full-length stainless steel bracelet. It is delivered as a desirable Full Set, complete with its original Omega warranty card from Japan, instruction booklet, and the classic red Omega presentation box (exhibiting the typical material aging characteristic of Omega boxes from this era).
