Movement: The automatic Rolex calibre 1575 is running well and keeping good vintage time. The movement winds smoothly and operates as intended. Rolex Service in 2023.
Case: The 18k yellow gold case is in wonderful condition. In the past it was expertly polished by a Rolex specialist, resulting in beautifully preserved proportions. The case shows full lugs, excellent geometry and perfectly sharp edges, with a lovely matte finish across the top surfaces.
Light signs of wear are present, as expected for a vintage gold watch, but there are no deep scratches, dents, or notable damage.Dial: The dial is a true highlight of this watch and remains in outstanding condition. The matte black surface is clean and well preserved, complemented by crisp golden printing and the characteristic applied “nipple” hour markers in yellow gold. The tritium plots have aged beautifully over time, creating a warm vintage tone that pairs perfectly with the yellow gold markers.
Hands: The hands are in excellent condition. The non-luminous filling has probably been replaced within the Rolex service but is not glowing in the night and matches the dial harmoniously.
Crystal: The acrylic crystal with Cyclops magnifier is in very good condition with only minor signs of wear.
Bezel: The bezel remains wonderfully sharp with clearly defined numerals. The black / yellow gold insert is in good condition with light signs of wear.
Strap / Bracelet: This Submariner comes fitted on a brand new Fluco leather strap and is accompanied by the original yellow gold plated Rolex clasp.
Crown: Original Rolex signed crown.
