Datejust Rolex

In 1945 Rolex created the flagship Datejust to mark the company’s 40th anniversary. This model was the first-ever self-winding wristwatch in the world that featured a date indication. Rolex also debuted the legendary 5-piece jubilee bracelet with the Datejust, initially in solid gold and subsequently in bicolor and stainless steel. In 1955, to mark the tenth anniversary of the Datejust, the Datejust was fitted with a magnifying 'cyclops lens'.
