This Hamilton Chrono-Matic co-signed with Oriosa is an exceptionally rare dial variant, making it a highly desirable and seldom-seen piece on the market. The additional Oriosa signature elevates its collectability significantly, placing it among the more unusual executions of early automatic chronographs.

Introduced during a pivotal moment in watchmaking history, the Chrono-Matic is directly linked to the groundbreaking Project 99 collaboration of the late 1960s. This joint effort between Heuer, Breitling, Hamilton, Buren, and Dubois-Depraz led to the development of one of the first automatic chronograph movements. Hamilton’s involvement came through its acquisition of Buren, and the result was the legendary Calibre 11—an innovative self-winding chronograph engine that defined an era.

This example presents in outstanding condition, with strong indications that it has spent most of its life carefully stored rather than heavily worn. The dial remains exceptionally clean, and the overall preservation is remarkable for a watch of this age and complexity.

A rare double-signed Chrono-Matic with strong historical relevance—combining innovation, rarity, and superb preservation.
