The Explorer 2, perhaps the most specialized sports Rolex available, was designed for cave explorers known as spelunkers who might have to spend extended periods of time underground. The fixed 24-hour bezel and 24-hour hand could have saved their lives! The bright white dial gives this watch a unique twist that we adore, but the 40mm Oyster case and sapphire glass are classic elements of a Rolex sports watch. With black numbers on the bezel, hands, and hour marker surrounds set against a white dial, this watch is all black and white. The red 24-hour hand stands out beautifully against this color palette. 
 
The reference 16570 is a sport watch that is simple and uncomplicated, something that Rolex is really no longer producing. These Explorer IIs are more traditional in size at 40mm with an oyster case that is more 1970s in proportion than 2000s, but they still have all the contemporary dependability of a watch from the 1990s and 2000s. It's regarded as one of the last Rolex sport watches that fits comfortably on almost all wrist sizes, which is a good—possibly even great—thing.
