The Marinemaster series was introduced in the early 1950s (likely 1952) when Fortis began branding their waterproof watches as "Marinemaster." While the Marinemaster may have drawn some inspiration from the Fortissimo, it became much more experimental, especially during the 1960s and 1970s. One of the standout models from this era is the ref. 6237, released in the 1970s. Known for its vibrant, multi-colored dial—a signature of the '70s—and its Super Compressor case, this vintage Fortis is powered by an ETA movement. However, be cautious, as this reference is frequently counterfeited.
